Sunday, Nov. 13th
If you build it, they will come..
When: 3:00-7:00pm, North side of the Memorial Union.
Come join us in a volunteer opportunity to help the HHC committee in creating the display structure outside of the MU along with setting up statistical stakes around campus.
Monday, Nov. 14th
Structure Exhibit and Hunger Outreach
When: 9:00am-3:00pm, North side of MU.
The structure will open, giving students an insight into the life of homelessness. Volunteer opportunities to pass out fliers/manage structure flow will be available. These activities will be going on throughout the week.
Tuesday, Nov. 15th
Music on the Plaza
When: 11:30am-1:00pm, North side of MU.
Fast and Hunger Banquet
When: 6:00pm-8:00pm Maricopa Café, 2nd floor of the Memorial Union.
Come enjoy Music on the Plaza and listen to two amazing bands who will be promoting our Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week!!
Later in the evening join the Community Service Coalition for a dinner where many will come and all will leave changed. Dinner will be served based on an assigned economic grouping and will feature a keynote speaker on hunger issues. Following the Hunger Banquet, a state senator will be lobbying to address social changes in dealing with issues of hunger and homelessness. The structure will continue to be displayed in front of the MU, giving student’s insight into the life of homelessness. Structure and flier volunteer opportunities will still be available from 9:00am-3:00pm.

Wednesday, Nov. 16th
Panel Discussion
When: 1:00-2:30pm, Lower Level of the Memorial Union.
Come and learn about hunger and homelessness in a panel discussion with speakers from Home Base Youth Services, First Food Bank, and Helping Hands Housing Services. Structure and flier volunteer opportunities will still be available from 9:00am-3:00pm
Thursday, Nov. 17th
The Hunger and Homelessness Sleepover/food and clothing drive
When: (Check-In: 6:30pm) 7:30pm-morning, Student Services Lawn
Calling all students and student organizations. We will be having a Sleepover on Student Services lawn to reflect on the reality of hunger and homelessness in our society. Please help us and bring any food/clothing that you are willing to donate to the sleepover! Programming includes free food, prizes, and a very passionate speaker. Structure and flier volunteer opportunities will still be available from 9:00am-3:00pm

Saturday, Nov. 19th
Service Project
When:8:00am-2:00pm, The Sojourner Center
Be proactive by volunteering at the Sojourner Center, a shelter that provides women and children a place to escape domestic violence.
