Kimberlee Demaree

Kim is a junior Political Science major at ASU. She is minoring in both Tourism and Mass Communications. In addition to school, Kim works for the Community Service Program as a Programming Assistant and a Resident Assistant on campus. She is also active in Circle K International and REACH. This is her second year on the HHAW Committee.
Stephanie Angel
Major: Kinesiology

Currently, a sophomore at ASU studying Kinesiology, Stephanie is no stranger to volunteering. While growing up in Arkansas, she was very active in many volunteer programs through her school. Stephanie and her friends even started a program their own program to raise awareness to child obesity. Now at ASU, she says that she is "very ecstatic about this committee and my position as head chair[person]."
Sarah Sabour

Originally from Salt Lake City, Sarah, moved to Atlanta, Georgia when she was a junior in high school. She is currently an undergraduate student studying Business Marketing. She expresses that she has "been active in community services all throughout middle school and high school." She is very excited to be apart of such an inspiring group and hopes that all volunteers will how we can all make a difference.
Alison Lewis

Alison is an honors English literature major who is also pursuing minors in psychology and business. When she's not leading Helping Hands for the Homeless, you can find her knitting with The Mad Hatters or pursuing her love of cooking and camping.
Demetra Presley
Master Student/School of Justice and Social Inquiry

Demetra is a first year Master’s student in the School of Justice and Social Inquiry; her primary areas of interest being prison reform and domestic violence. She also attended ASU for her undergraduate degree where she majored in justice studies and minored in women’s studies. This is her first year working on the Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week Committee and she looks forward to continuing her work as a volunteer next year.
Madison Thompson

From a small town in Arkansas, sophomore ASU student Madison, had never witnessed homelessness first hand. Feeling that people that see homelessness everyday has made them desensitized to the subject, she hopes that Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week will bring new light to the issues and encourage students to stop ignoring the problem and start taking action to fight it! She is "really looking forward to the week and hope we make a difference."
Hailey Pearson

Hailey is a junior studying Communications, with a minor in Political Science, at ASU. Over the past four years she has been actively involved in different volunteer organizations around the valley, such as the East Valley Child Crisis Center and the local chapter of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. This is her first year on the Hunger and Homelessness Awareness committee and has extremely enjoyed her time spent with the committee, trying to help bring awareness to others about hunger and homelessness. She looks forward to continuing on with the committee in the future.
